Small tiny market place Empty
PostSubject: Small tiny market place   Small tiny market place EmptyTue May 17, 2011 1:36 pm

The marketplace doesn't even deserve the title of 'marketplace', Akefia thought as he walked through the small shopping area in his village. It was just a tiny section in the corner of the village. Akefia kicked some rocks as he strolled along the streets just trying to find something to do since his mother kicked him out of the house for a little while since he wouldn't stop biting his father since he was hungry.

Not my fault Akefia complained. His village didn't get a lot of food unlike the kingdom from a far far away land. His eyes wondered the many different tents that were up displaying food.

What ELSE is there to do besides walking the village for the millionth time? Akefia thought as he passed the same tent again for the tenth time.

Atem saw a village in the distance and when he got to the edge of it, he slowed his horse down to a casual trot and went into the village. Feeling out of place, Atem got down, off of the Arabian horse and walked through the village to a small market place.

A few eyes were on the newcomer, but Atem was sure they didn’t know he was the prince of Egypt. Under Atem’s face cover, he was grinning from ear to ear. This really was an adventure, and even if it was a bit dangerous… he was determined to have a good time.

The young prince walked through the small market place until he saw a tent with a horse water trough. Atem asked in a polite voice, “How much to water my horse?” Atem’s eyes stood out and would probably make anyone curious.

What Atem didn’t notice yet was a boy that looked bored, walking through the market… probably looking for something to do, or someone to meet

((Hint Hint, Akefia was bored right? There was nothing to do? Well now there is this really curious and intriguing stranger and visitor… I think Akefia will want to talk with him riiigght? =]))

The guy looked at the small boy then at the horse, "Where'd you get that nice lookin horse?" The man asked. He had a look of taking the horse and he grinned greedily.

Akefia turned his head and saw another boy, a bit taller then he was, and walked over to him.

"He asked you how much it would cost, don't answer his question with another question," his eyes narrowed at the man. The man scowled, "Why must you always cause trouble around here, go home."

Akefia kept his eyes dangerously narrowed at the man, then looked at the boy, "Normally its-" but then he stopped when he saw the other boy's eyes.

"Whoa you have red eyes," Akefia was totally distracted as if nothing else mattered, but the eyes. Without warning Akefia slowly pointed his finger towards the boy's eye as if to touch his eye.

Atem was about to ask the man, 'what's it to you?' because he didn't like the greedy look in his eye, however another boy a tiny bit smaller than he was spoke up for him.

The hiding prince smiled at his helper, though the only way to tell he was smiling was that his red eyes were sparkling along with the smile.

When Akefia changed subjects quickly because of his surprise, Atem started laughing but then regained his composure and stood straight and royal (like he was taught) and said, "Thank you, yes... my eyes are not normally seen." Atem laughed a little to himself.

The other boy looked like he wanted to poke Atem's eye, or at least touch the pretty color that was like blood, but Atem knew that he probably wouldn't.

"And thank you for your admiration... I'm Atem." Atem told the other boy his name without thinking. Atem almost hit himself for telling the other his real name, instead of being cool or "on an adventure" and making up an interesting name to give, but instead he would have to stay with his normal given name.

Akefia grinned, "Akefia the name, as for you my father will be hearing about this," he narrowed his eyes at the man as he slammed a gold coin on the table. He then grabbed a jug of water.

"Come to my house, your horse can rest at the stables," Akefia offered. He began walking towards his house with the jar of water remembering his mother yelling at him to not come back until dinner is ready, which he knew it wasn't ready.

Well this is an acception I have company He thought to himself as they walked towards his house.

Atem grinned, he had already found someone that was interesting and kind to him on his little adventure, “I appreciate it very much” Atem really was happy he met Akefia

The man watched as Atem led the pretty horse away, saddened that he couldn’t take it for himself. Atem’s face was still covered up so no one could see him smirking at having this little adventure. He was also smirking at the reaction to everyone at the palace when they found out the little prince was missing.
